Composite Windows are absolutely the top of the window quality chain. Composite windows are made from a non-organic base material, most often fiberglass. But, not all fiberglass windows are created equal! Being premium, they do cost more but, with a super long product performance lifetime, your return on investment makes them a value!

What Are Composite Windows Made Of?
The composite windows sold by The Window Experts are made from fiberglass. There are some other composite windows made with a combination of wood fibers and plastics but, we only sell what we have determined to be the best product available in the market. Fiberglass.
Are Composite Windows Better Than Vinyl or Wood Windows?
Vinyl and wood make for pretty good insulation. You’ll find U-Factor and SHGC numbers in both vinyl and wood windows to be very competitive with composite/fiberglass windows. The difference is the structural strength of fiberglass composites and the long-lasting, no-maintenance performance of a composite window. We recommend the Low-E glass in the insulating glass unit by Cardinal Glass.

How Long Do Composite Windows Last?
Typically, composite fiberglass windows last more than 30 and up to 50 years. They beat both vinyl and wood by 10 to 20 years respectively.
Do Composite Windows Offer Good Insulation?
Yes, they are excellent insulators. Composite and fiberglass windows are among the most thermally efficient options on the market. They typically outperform aluminum and most vinyl windows, and they are neck-and-neck with solid wood—without the risk of wood’s efficiency dropping due to rot or warping.
Thermal Stability: Unlike vinyl, which can expand up to seven times more than glass, fiberglass is incredibly stable. When the sun beats down, the frame and the glass move together. This prevents the “breath-in, breath-out” movement that eventually snaps the seals on other windows.
Resistance to Extremes: They are virtually immune to the things that kill other windows: they don’t rot like wood, they don’t corrode like aluminum, and they don’t become brittle in freezing temperatures like vinyl.

What Is The Average Cost Of Composite Windows?
Composite windows are a top quality upgrade. As such, they do cost up to twice the price of vinyl windows. They will take a little longer to get a positive ROI but, since they last up to twice as long, they are worth it.
